RANDOM BACKGROUND LINES

These lines are often used in cool wallpapers or web backgrounds

  • Create a new canvas (200 x 200 px)
  • Hit X-D to reset the color palette
  • Replace Black in the color palette with any dark shaded color that you prefer
  • Create clouds Filter>Render>Clouds
  • Create pixelated lines Filter>Pixelate>Mezzotint (Type: Long Lines)
  • Repeat a few times to get a random spread (CTRL-F)
  • Blur the pixels to make cool lines Filter>Blur>Motion Blur
  • Use the following settings
  • Repeat a few times to get a more even spread (CTRL-F)
  • You can modify the colors if you wish (CTRL-U)
  • You're done
